Have just returned from holiday to Iceland – loved the landscape, the light and the lovely people …..and the knitting.
When the days shorten – and they get really short, out come the knitting needles; was amazed at the continuing popularity of the traditional Icelandic patterns, made with wool from Icelandic sheep, tough, hardwearing, extremely warm.
